Because of my profession as a spiritual consultant I have become aware of many folks who feel that there is so much more to life than what we are currently
experiencing with our five senses. Many are feeling an inner stirring that compels them to search for truth and understanding. In this quest, they often find their
way to my front door. Here they start their journey inward, and then forward. These are the seekers.
It is my intention to assist these fellow travelers in whatever capacity I can. I hope to be their teacher; however, I too have much to learn... For I am a seeker as
well.
BEING READY
TARZAN was a chicken...or more specifically; Tarzan was a pet rooster who once belonged to a friend of mine many years ago.
Now this poor chicken was raised in a BIRD CAGE until it was nearly grown. Finally someone opened the cage to let the poor thing free.
Well, that chicken did venture out of that cage, but it wouldn't’t go very far. If he heard any strange sound, or was startled in any way, back to that tiny cage he’d
run. Poor Tarzan spent most of his whole life cooped up in that little bitty cage. The sad part is, he spent most of it there by his own choice.
Maybe you can identify with Tarzan, often feeling confined, afraid to venture out, yet somehow knowing that there has to be more out there somewhere.
Trust me, you do not have to live your life trapped behind a wall of fear or uncertainty. You have the power within yourself to knock down those walls and explore
a whole new world. If you can DECIDE that you are ready to make a journey into a new aspect of who you are, and BELIEVE in your ability to do so, you have
already taken a step toward a better life. Contained in this paper are some travel tips to assist you on this journey.
Please do not worry if you will have a safe trip...because you probably will not. But a journey inward DOES promise adventure and will be ultimately rewarding.
It is up to you. Put this paper down now, or read on for further directions. What are you waiting for...The cage door is open.
DISCOVERING THAT YOU ARE A POWERFUL PERSON
“HOW DO YOU DO THIS?” This is probably the most-asked question I hear concerning my ability as a psychic. For a long time, I did not know the answer
to this inquiry; however, I think now the time has come for me to share with you what I have learned, and show you that YOU CAN DO THIS TOO...and believe it
or not, it is as easy as A-B-C!
Please be a little patient, as I need to share with you a few thoughts first to help you understand some things. Now don’t get excited, this won’t hurt a bit, I’m
not about to inflict heavy reading here...that would be too much like work. I just need you to open your mind a little bit so that I might help your understanding just
a tad.
The first thing you have to understand is the concept of ENERGY. All things are made of pure energy. Think about it... If you break down all matter to its
smallest form, all the way down to its subatomic particles, you have nothing but ENERGY. Energy can be changed and manipulated, and the easiest form of
energy to change is a THOUGHT. Look around you. Everything you see that has been made by man started first as an IDEA! Every change that you have
made in your life was first born as a simple thought. Thoughts are a form of reality that can and do become reality right here in this world that you dwell in now.
Think of it, you can begin altering your reality right now this very minute simply by changing your mind!
ALL ENERGY VIBRATES.
Every object has its own unique vibration. You vibrate, I vibrate, and all God’s children vibrate. Rocks, people, cars, EMOTIONS, THOUGHTS, all vibrate.
Surrounding each person is an energy field that contains all the thoughts and emotions of that person. Have you ever been around someone in love? Of course
you have...you could feel it. How about someone angry or tense? Even if no one was saying a word, you KNEW something was up. You were feeling the
vibration of that particular emotion in that person’s energy field.
Now, I just bet that the phone has rung and you knew whom it was without even thinking, or that you have thought of a person and ran into them the next day.
You were feeling that person’s personal vibration. Those premonitions that you sometimes have are the same thing...you are picking up the vibration of coming
events in the same way that you might hold up a finger and see what direction the wind is blowing. SEE... You have been feeling those vibrations all along, and
you didn’t even know it. The only real difference between you and me is this...sensitivity. By nature I am a highly sensitive individual. (Some might even say
nervous.) Because of this I am able to discern the vibrations around me whether I choose to or not. Some say this is a gift, and it is.. It is one I am happy to
share. Sometimes, however, I have felt it is a curse as it limits my ability to function in your world. However, I invite you into my world now. I want to help you to
understand that you can take what is best in me and use it to increase what is best in you.
Okay! Are you ready to begin?
In order to tap into your inner power, as I said, you have to increase your sensitivity and heighten your awareness. There are three steps in which to do this,
and they are: A—ATTENTION, B—BELIEF, and C—CREATIVITY. Let us start at the beginning with A.
ATTENTION
With so many thoughts going on inside of our minds, it can be difficult to quiet the noise and truly listen to ourselves think! You are bombarded with literally
thousands of thoughts per minute. Learning how to pay attention helps you to focus on the thoughts that matter and disregard those that don’t. The following
exercises will help you with this.
Exercise no. 1
Pick up any object right now such as a pencil, pen or maybe an ashtray.
Now, I want you to focus on what you are holding. In fact, I want you to focus your attention on this object for about 30 seconds. I will almost bet that your
attention wanders. Try again. See every little flaw...every detail. Time’s up! How did you do? Did you see something new? I want you to wait a few minutes
and look again. Chances are you will notice something different.
Exercise no. 2
I want you to be very quiet. Now listen. What do you hear? Maybe you hear the neighbors, a dog barking, perhaps the wind. Notice all the little sounds,
smells, and all the things that you might not normally have noticed. You should try to relax. Notice any passing thoughts that may slip through. You might tense
and relax your muscles to help you relax even more. Pay attention to what you are feeling. Examine this feeling... Where is it coming from? You may choose to
focus on your breathing at this point to deepen your state of relaxation. However, the point of this exercise is to simply PAY ATTENTION.
Exercise no. 3
Find yourself a snack...that’s not too hard, is it? WAIT! Don’t just gobble it down! Look at...really see it. Smell it...taste it...feel the texture in your mouth.
Savor every bite. Do this exercise whenever you snack. By paying careful attention to your usual senses, you will open the door to all sorts of new sensations.
Exercise no. 4
Please do acknowledge every single time when your feelings are proven right. Pat yourself on the back. Don’t be afraid of your own ability...Be proud of
what you can do. By acknowledging your intuition you are validating yourself and allowing yourself to be even more aware of what is going on around you.
BELIEF
Simple belief in you will do. You have to believe that you have the power within yourself to bring the things that you need to you. Do not make it hard. You
have to believe that there are no limits other than those you impose on yourself. It helps to trust that a loving force exists to assist us, and that this force is divine.
In order to increase your faith and confidence, you might try this. Decide what you need. BELIEVE that you are deserving of what you need. You might state
your requests aloud or better: put them in writing. Make a list, and use both left and right hands to list what you need. Also affirm what you need, as if it is
happening already. For example, say: everyday gets better and better. Or: money comes to be easily, i deserve to be loved, i am allowed to be peaceful,
etc. Visualize what it is that you need. What I am instructing you to do is to MOVE ENERGY and writing helps clarify, then manifest what you need. When you
focus on something that you need, your energy is gathered up and sent out like a wave. Think of dominoes. Your thoughts begin a process of turning over the
first domino. Then as you release that energy in faith, the remaining dominoes tumble over one by one. By actively believing in yourself you are turning over that
first domino, thus having the intention of receiving what you need. A good way to help you to increase your confidence is to keep a list of the things you have
requested. Put the list away for a while. In a few days or weeks, go back and check that list. Chances are that you will be pleasantly surprised. As your ability
increases, you should act on it by expecting to receive what you need. Do not be afraid. Do not limit what the universe can send you.
“I’m asking, but I am not getting!Okay, look at your request. Is it from a good place in your heart? Are you holding back because of fear? Is there something
better around the corner? Is there a challenge that you need to work through, or unfinished business you need to complete? Ask the universe for clarity. Try to
relax, open your mind...The answer WILL come.
IF you feel conflicted within concerning what you are hoping for, you will send mixed signals and most likely sabotage your efforts. This of it like see-saw. On one
side, there is a positive hopeful underweight child that represents you, and your hopes. On the other side, an overweight fearful part of you that feels undeserving
or negative. You must feed the underweight part of you in order to bring balance and deny junk food to the other side until you have balance within yourself.
Think of affirmations as a healthy food that balances your energy and helps silence the fearful voice that gets in the way of your happiness. AFFIRMATIONS
help clarify and create the reality you are hoping for.
Do not push for answers, doing that actually can block you. The universe will send you signals to let you know when you are on the right track, or send you
correction if you’re not. The signals might be in the form of a spoken word, a book, an experience, etc. Perhaps there is NO SUCH THING AS COINCIDENCE,
so pay attention to those things that happen in cycles. Sometimes it is hindsight before we can see why things did not come as we wish. Sometimes we realize
that there we were meant for something better.
Also, to help balance your energy, act as if you are the person you wish to be-- fake it till you make it- in other words. Practice makes perfect. Do the things that
we want to see done to us... In other words, if you wish to receive, give. If you want love, be loving. If you want a healthy partner, be healthy--- do not assume the
role of a victim nor villain, but victor. Remember the law of karma-- basically what goes around comes around.
Many times when a person states their intention, the universe sends them a challenge. For example: Imagine that Nicole decides that she wants a new lover.
The universe sends exactly what she asked for....except....He also finds her previous lover showing her much more attention. Naturally, this confuses Nicole.
The purpose of this is not to lead to confusion, but to CLARIFICATION. Nicole must now be sure of her intentions. The pain and confusion that she feels will
cause her to examine her motives, and re-evaluate her plans. She will grow in the process. She will draw strength by exposing her own weaknesses. In the end
she may decide to stick with her plan and choose someone new. She may decide to postpone things until she is ready to meet that challenge. Either way,
Nicole will have learned more about who she is. This same principle applies whether your request concerns money, love, health, or whatever. We are not here
to be tricked or emotionally tortured, although, like many of you, I have wondered about that from time to time when hardship comes. I personally have to believe
that there is a purpose in it all, and the purpose is a good one. This thought may aid in your releasing your intentions to the universe.
Affirm daily: All my needs are met easily.
CREATIVITY
The part of you that controls your intuitive ability is where creativity lives. Increasing your creative energy will also increase your sensitivity...so...get out those
paints! Find some flowers to arrange, write a story! These exercises in creativity also help to calm and release negative energy. Artistic people are usually
very intuitive naturally. It’s all in that right-brain activity.
It may interest you to know that many people who choose to believe in fairies and /or helpful spirits believe that creative activity will draw them near. They feel
honored to have that energy nearby. You might like to allow your imagination to run free, and pretend that you are entering a world that is full of magical things.
You might pretend to enter any world that you choose to build in your mind. The realm of imagination may be thought of as an alternate reality. Imagination is the
bridge that connects one reality to another. In this world of imagination, you might like to visualize the things you need, or seek answers to questions of a
personal or spiritual nature, or simply to play. You may even visualize your guardian spirit/angel. Creative visualization is a very imaginative way to learn about
yourself and gain insight about whatever life path you may be walking. Here are some exercises to help you start.
Exercise no. 1
Find a comfortable spot. Take deep calming breaths. You might like to have soft music playing. You may burn incense and /or candles. Imagine that you
are so heavy that you slip right out of your body....remember....E.Re simply imagining this...Now imagine that you are walking through a doorway right in the
middle of your room. Pretend that you are walking into a beautiful garden where flowers are growing, birds are singing, etc. (Some folks pretend to walk into
their favorite picture or a scene that they have enjoyed in a movie.) Imagine that a shower washes away all of your bad feelings that you have been
experiencing. Feel warm sunshine on your face. Pretend that you meet a rabbit that talks, a white unicorn, or a ladybug that is really a lady.
Lie in the grass...converse with a fairy...meet your guardian angel....O.whatever you like! It’s your imagination....F you feel uncomfortable at any time, simply
stop! If you meet an unfriendly character - wish him away! Just let your mind wander and have fun. The possibilities here are endless. When you are through,
imagine yourself walking back into your body. Focus on your “out” breath. Feel yourself fitting back into your environment, relaxed and refreshed. By the way,
many people imagine a white light around them at all times during these little “trips”. They feel like the light is protective. I believe it is a good idea to imagine
the light.
Exercise no. 2
The next time you are outside in the wind, imagine you are the wind. What does it feel like? The next time you are next to a stream, imagine you are the
water. Again, what does it feel like, where are you going? This exercise will really stretch your imagination. Remember, you are in charge of your own mind....
Creative thinking is a positive thing.
If you decide to draw or decorate, do not worry that you may not be artistically inclined. I am not asking you to create a work of art. Just find anything interesting
and enjoyable to you. Even doodling in the margins of your note pad counts as an exercise in creativity and imagination.
I hope the door in your mind is open a little wider now. There is an interesting world just within reach.
So remember…A. Pay Attention, B. Believe in yourself. And C. Be Creative.
IT IS AS SIMPLE AS A-B-C.
WHEN IT’S TIME FOR A CHANGE
Many times when a person is interested in spiritual awareness it is because they are experiencing changes in their life that may or may not be a conscious
choice. Many times you may have felt confused or uncertain of which path to take. Sometimes, you may feel an emptiness that you need to fill, but you may not
know exactly how to go about doing that. Often, a person may know what they need to do, but because of fear or uncertainty, they set up roadblocks for
themselves. Sooner or later, however, change of a profound nature comes to many of us, and as uncomfortable or as welcome as it may be, change is often
difficult. Confusion may reign temporarily. But just when you think it’s too much, it clears. You know whom you are and that you’re where you’re supposed to be.
WHEN CHANGE IS A MATTER OF CHOICE
Imagine that you are in a house on a mountain peak. Imagine that this is a house that you have lived in for a very long time. This may be a rather dark and
lonely place, but you know where everything is. It’s not exactly what you had hoped for, but it is familiar.
One day as you are walking about in your house you happen to notice another house on another peak. That house seems bright and airy. You may try to forget
that place, but you can’t. It calls to you. One day you feel the call so strongly that you open the door and find a bridge connecting these two houses. Finally, after
much soul searching, you take a step onto that bridge.
Now, this is where you have to prepare yourself. That bridge is a very high suspension type bridge. Being on this bridge can be very frightening as it is high
and shaky. As you step out you may find yourself turning and running back to where you started. But, do you know what? You can’t go back for very long. Soon,
you start out again. This time maybe you get a little farther along before ..yes...you run back again. This running back and forth will not go on forever.
Eventually you will make it to that new house. Although you will never forget where you came from, and you will never be without some tiny bit of regret, you will
also know in your heart of hearts that you are now living where you are supposed to be. It is important to remember that while you sometimes long for the
familiar, you cannot live your life happily in a place that no longer fits the person that you have become.
WHEN THE CHANGE IS NOT YOUR CHOICE
Let us imagine you are living in a house that seems to fit your needs just fine. One day you are sitting in your house minding your own business when you
hear a noise from outside. Naturally you go out to investigate, and just in time, because out of the clear blue sky comes a big old’ wrecking ball that knocks your
house down to the ground.
Naturally, you are devastated - and rightfully so! The only thing you can do is just sit there and cry. You will run through the whole gamut of emotions from
shock to anger to depression to finally acceptance. That is when you can look around and see that maybe there is a doorknob here, or a pane of glass there
that can be salvaged. Soon you will find a friend or two that will be coming over to help. Before you know it, if you will allow it, you will find a brand new house
and a brand new life.
In order to get to that bigger and better house faster, you need to believe that somewhere and somehow there was a purpose in it all. Otherwise you may find
yourself stuck in an unpleasant situation for a lot longer than need be. Not being in control is an unpleasant thing for anyone. In fact, releasing your feeling of
control to a higher power is one of the most difficult things that you will ever do. But believing that even tragedy serves a purpose can help ease a transition.
When you are rebuilding your house, be sure that you remember to build it on a good solid foundation. Learning from our past helps to build a more secure
future.
WHEN YOU NEED TO CHANGE
Okay, let’s say you have started on a journey, but now you’re stuck. Think of it like this:
WHEN YOU FEEL STAGNANT
A long time ago when sailors would start out on a journey they would have the wind at their back and their ship would be moving right along. However, many
times that ship would stop right where it was as the wind would cease, and the sea would be like glass. This is called being “caught in a calm”. When this
happens, the only thing to do is wait it out. Look around you and enjoy the scenery. Cast your net into the water and see what you can catch. Take a break and
enjoy the sun. Get to know your shipmates. The wind will pick back up, and you will be moving along soon. Learn to use the “calm” to your advantage and take
time out.
WHEN YOU FEEL FRUSTRATED
Imagine that you playing with Chinese handcuffs, the toy tube you put your fingers in. The harder you pull, the tighter they become. Sometimes, surrender
frees up energy to help you move. It is important to remember, “What you resist often persists”.
WHEN YOU DESIRE CHANGE
CLEAN HOUSE! Clean it both literally and figuratively. Get rid of the stuff that no longer fits the person that you are becoming. “Cleaning house” releases
negative energy. When this negative energy is released, a void is created which can then be filled with positive energy. You create positive energy by beginning
to see yourself in the way you would like for others to see you. You should expect that others might challenge your growth and try to make you fit the idea that
they have of you. As you continue to change, however, new folks will be attracted to you and reflect the person that you are becoming. Daily affirm who you want
to be as if you already are that person.
Create an idea of the person you want to be, believe in your heart that you are that person, and then rid yourself of the things that impede your growth.
Release in love and harmony the people that stand in your way. Visualize the life that you desire and behave as much as possible as if that life already exists.
Do not set hurdles up that will slow you down unnecessarily. It is okay to be afraid sometimes, but walk through the fear, and you may find that there was little to
be afraid of in the end.
CHANGE BRINGS GROWTH
Please keep in mind that it is only through experience that we can grow. There is little to be gained by standing still. Fear is your only obstacle in the end.
Think of yourself as a person who is walking through a fire. At first, you are overcome by fear of being burned, but somehow, the fear dies down, and the fire
flames up from within, and you know you can walk through the fire ...and you do.
ONE MORE THING...QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Now that you are on your way to intuitive living, you might find some of the following answers to these commonly asked questions helpful.
Q. I HAVE MANY DREAMS: SHOULD I PAY ATTENTION TO THEM?
A. Your subconscious mind speaks to you in a language of symbols that your conscious mind can understand. It is telling you in code the things that you need to
know. Rather than seek out dream books, etc., you should ask yourself “what does this particular symbol mean to me?” The characters in your mind may
represent different aspects of your own personality ... each character representing a challenge or change that you are experiencing. Again, ask yourself...”what
part of me does this person represent?”
Try to keep your interpretation simple, as the symbols in your dream are usually based on the obvious. It is a good idea to keep a dream journal to help you
keep track of your dreams. As you compare your journal to your daytime experiences, you may gain tremendous insight into what your unconscious mind is
saying.
While some people do indeed dream of future events, most of your dreaming is about explaining what is happening in the here and now. Most foretelling
dreams will have a certain “feel” to them that set them apart from others, and usually occur in the half awake/half asleep state. Keeping track of your dreams will
help you recognize the difference.
Some people like to manipulate their dreams by suggesting certain things to themselves as they fall asleep such as “I will remember my dream”, or “I will solve
X problem in my dream”.
Some universal symbols in dreams are as follows: water=emotion, house= your physical body, car/travel= traveling life’s journey, searching=anxiety, baby=fresh
start, death=ending, monster=inner fear. However; remember, everyone is unique, and your mind is speaking in a language that you are inventing.
Q. DOES PSYCHIC AWARENESS CONTRADICT CHRISTIAN TEACHING?
A. Psychic awareness is a natural state of being. Humans are designed this way and more and more children will be more with enhanced ability. It is
certainly not wrong unless one might misuse it. Judge whether or not this is so by the “fruit” that a psychic person bears. If they bring forth good fruit by giving
guidance that will direct you to spiritual and personal growth, then it is for a good purpose. However, if it is used to control others, manipulate or bring about
deception, obviously it indeed contradicts Christian (or any other major religious) teaching.
Q. WHAT CAN YOU TELL ME ABOUT TAROT CARDS (or other tools)?
A. While this is not my tool, (I simply read energy) Tarot cards can provide a window into your subconscious mind. If you would like to try Tarot cards you will
find many decks in the metaphysical section in your bookstore. There are many different decks and you should choose one that appeals to you. Take your
cards home and read all about them in the material provided. Once you have familiarized yourself with your deck, I want you to forget it! That’s right! In order to
truly become adept with your Tarot cards you need to make them belong to YOU by developing a relationship with them. Lay them out in front of you and look at
each and every one. Which one appeals to you, which one offends? Ask yourself why. Let the pictures “talk” to you. Let the characters tell you a story about
themselves in your imagination. Lay out one card, what is the first thing in that card that catches your eye? How does it make you feel? What was your first
thought? Do not depend on a “book definition,” trust your instincts. Don’t worry about making a mistake because you won’t! They will reveal to you what is in
the deep corners of your mind if you will let them. You may look at one card today and feel one thing, and look at the same card another day and feel something
else...that is OK! This is how it is supposed to work. Read them for yourself and your friends. Draw a card in the morning and compare it with your day that
evening. Treat your cards with special care in order to create a certain feeling when you work with them. Remember that the power is in you and that the cards
are merely tools used to tap into that power.
Q. CAN I BE HARMED BY NEGATIVE ENERGY?
A. You have a natural defense system around you. However, common sense tells you that if you are around a negative or complaining person, it wears you
down...also, if someone is intentionally directing negativity toward you over a period of time, it can cause you to feel “all wrong” IF you allow it. You can defend
yourself from such things by visualizing a white light around you, much like an egg white surrounding the yolk of an egg. Around that imagine a mirror facing the
outside, much like the shell of an egg. This reflects negative energy away from you. Secondly, when you shower or bathe, visualize that the water is dissolving
away all of the negative energy that you may have picked up from others through the day. Water has so much healing energy. Finally, do not give in to fearful
thoughts. Unfounded fear destroys. Do not allow yourself to create negativity through fear and ignorance. And remember to pray daily and ask your higher
power to help you and guide you…this is the most important thing of all. But please never believe it when some so called psychic type tells you that you are
under a curse, and that you need to pay them a sum of money to remove it…. It’s a scam…take responsibility for your life and your choices, and leave that
type of dark energy alone.
